I consider my three kids to be "Minority Techs" in training.

My wife and I are blessed to have friends and family members who have expressed a desire to give gifts to our children during the upcoming holiday season. Several years ago, we created college savings plans for Koveil, Kyric, and Vicia. We would love if, in lieu of a toy or an article of clothing, you gave the gift of a financial contribution to their college funds.

I received academic scholarships that made it possible for me to earn my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. While, I hope my kids will also benefit from academic or athletic scholarships, the cost of a college education is quickly increasing. Also, it is very likely that for at one year, my wife and I will need to contribute to the financial needs of three college kids! We're saving now so that lack of money is not an excuse for our kids to miss out on the opportunity of the best education they can have.

You can use the links below to make an electronic contribution or send a check through the regular mail to the 529 plan of the child to whom you want to send a gift. No matter what method you choose or the amount you can give, we thank you for your investment in our children!

With the rising cost of tuition, 529 plans are a great way to save for the college education of your children. If you want to know more about 529 plans, you can learn more here: http://www.irs.gov/uac/529-Plans:-Questions-and-Answers
