I'm excited to announce that I'm one of 15 African American entrepreneurs and technologists selected to take part in a social media series about Blacks in technology being produced by NPR! Between December 2nd and December 20th, I'll be assigned a day to tweet using the hashtag #NPRBlacksinTech. On my assigned day, my tweets will chronicle "A Day in the Life" of Anjuan Simmons! I'll share my daily activities working as a software project manager at a construction software company as well as my thoughts and observations about being a minority in a field that still struggles with diversity.
Like any great social media series, you have the opportunity to take part in it as well! NPR is crowdsourcing five questions that will be answered by everyone taking part in the series. So, this is your opportunity to ask those burning questions you have about the reality of working as a technologist of color. Do you want to know our favorite technology gadget or smartphone app? Or, perhaps what we do in our spare time when we're not solving the world's technology problems? Submit your questions via Twitter using the hashtag #NPRBlacksinTech or send an email to TellMeMore@npr.org.

I look forward to tweeting during my part of NPR's "A Day in the Life" series and answering your questions!
